The Feather River Canyon Community Services District (FRCCSD) invites qualified Contractors to bid on the removal / replacement of +/- 2,500 feet of 2 inch steel pipe and water intake repair, for Paxton, Hwy 70, 32160 Paxton Road Quincy, CA 95971. Minority and women business enterprises are encouraged to bid. All Federal and State equal opportunity and non-discrimination regulations apply. The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive immaterial defects or deviations in the bids received. Water Main; (Design Build) 1. Remove and dispose of +/- 2,500ft of steel pipe from hillside and cliff and replace with 2 inch schedule 40 steel pipe with appropriate couplers, buried where possible. 2. Bury (minimum 12 inches) and/or protect new steel pipe with weather, sun and freezing protection to 10F. 3. Secure unburied steel pipe to hillside and cliff with earthquake anchors from beginning to end. Maximum distance between anchors of 20 feet. 4. Trim brush and hazardous trees back 20 feet on both sides of pipeline for work site safety and maintenance access. Scatter and leave out of access zone, no more than 12 inches above ground. 5. Remove temporary +/- 2,500 feet of 2 inch plastic pipe. (deliver to district as directed) 6. Place erosion control in work areas. 7. Leave buried sections of pipe in place when possible (for minimal soil disruption) Separate line item - Water Intake; (Design Build) 1. Clean out soot, ash and natural materials from 80x 3 x 3 spring intake screen location. 2. Remove and replace intake screen and gallery and box system.
