Partial Roof replacements Project description Port Huron Area School District will accept sealed proposals for the partial roof replacements for Cleveland Elementary School, 2801 Vanness, Port Huron, MI 48060, Fort Gratiot Middle School, 3985 Keewahdin, Fort Gratiot, MI 48059, Thomas Edison Elementary School, 3559 Pollina Ave, Fort Gratiot, MI 48059, Michigamme Elementary School, 2885 Michigan Road, Port Huron, MI 48060 and the Bus Garage, 4035 Dove Road, Port Huron, MI 48060, at 2720 Riverside Drive, Port Huron, MI 48060 Each proposal must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or standard form bid bond, made payable to the Port Huron Area School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid submitted. Failure of any accepted Bidder to enter into contract for the work will cause forfeit of his bid security. After contracts for the work have been signed, all bid securities will be returned. The winning bidder will have to furnish performance and labor & material payment bonds, the cost of which should be included in the project bid. 1. All bidding contractors, it is highly recommended to visit the site and become familiar with the project. No change orders will be given for contractors not being familiar with the project and/or scope of work. 2. All OSHA and COVID-19 safety regulations are to be followed and included in the quote. All permits and certifications are the sole responsibility of the contractor. 3. Legally remove and dispose of existing equipment and replace according to attached specifications. 4. Remove existing ballast rock. 5. Remove existing rubber membrane on ballast rubber roofs. 6. Mechanically fasten existing insulation. 7. Install Duro-Last 3/8" fan fold over existing insulation. 8. Install 40 mil mechanically fastened Duro-Last roof system. 9. Install Duro-Last parapet wall flashing. 10. Install Duro-Last two-way breather vents. 11. Flash and seal all roof penetrations per manufacture specs. 12. Install Duro-Last 24ga 2pc edge metal. 13. Provide manufacture 15 year NDL warranty. 14. All clean-up and removal of all job related debris. 15. Provide 5% bid bond. 16. Provide performance and labor bond upon project award, the cost of which shall be included in the project bid. 17. Acquire all necessary permits and certifications. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity or informality in bids, to reject any and/or all bids, in whole or in part, or to award any Contract to other than the low bidder, should it be deemed in the Owner's best interest to do so.
