All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, The Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each bidder is required to furnish with its Proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code or a certified check or cashier's check equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, payable to the City of Macedonia. The Bid security in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The Bid Guaranty will be held, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, to guarantee a Contract will be entered into in accordance with ORC 153.54. The price of material and labor bid for shall be separately stated. Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond or check, as the case may be, will be held as a guarantee that, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into between the bidder and the City of Macedonia, and the performance of such Contract secured by said check or bond. In default thereof said bond or check, and the amount represented thereby, shall be forfeited to the City of Macedonia as liquidated damages. Council of the City of Macedonia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City.
