The Lonsdale Energy Corp. is requesting your response to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for Mechanical Installations for the Mini Plant 9 (MP9) Phase 1. The Lonsdale Energy Corp. is planning to increase plant capacity to provide additional hot water heating service to current and future buildings in North Vancouver. The future MP9 room will be located at 763 Harbourside Drive in North Vancouver. The plant equipment will be visible through a floor-to-ceiling glass facade on Harborside Drive. It is anticipated that the mechanical design of the MP9 will provide an educational and promotional resource to LEC and The City. A well thought-out and presentable room layout is of particular importance. A 3D visualization is required prior to LEC’s construction approval. MP9 Phase 1 includes the installation of a 4,500-kW boiler system. This includes following equipment: 3 Gas Condensing Boilers, 1,500 kW Security Dura Vent system, 14”, 125 m 3 Boiler Loop Pumps 5 kW 3 DES Loop Pumps 15 kW 2 Gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers, 2,250 kW 2 Pressureless expansion tanks, 3,000 L 2 Diaphragm expansion tanks, 1,200 L Welded steel piping system, ANSI Schedule 40, 1” – 10” Pipe insulation, structural pipe support Field instruments: Temperature Sensors, Pressure Transmitters, Flow meters, Energy calculators
