The purpose of this Unsealed Invitation for Bids (UIFB) is to establish a contract with one qualified Contractor to remove and replace a new HVAC 15 tonnage split system Heat Pump to include the required materials to render system operational, in accordance with the specifications contained within. For the purpose of clarification, each firm receiving this UIFB is referred to as the "Bidder" and the Bidder awarded the contract to supply the service is referred to as a "Contractor." The Virginia State Police (VSP), and herein after known as "VSP" and/or the "Department." The Service location is at Virginia State Police, 99 Keesling Ave., Salem, VA 24153. For questions regarding this solicitation, please contact Contract Officer, Tammy Boyer, VCO/VCA/VCARM, Tammy.Boyer@vsp.virginia.gov. Email inquiries only Contract Administrator: F/Sgt Jason Hypes at 540-375-9523. Successful Contractor will coordinate installation with Contract Administrator, F/Sgt. F/Sgt Jason Hypes at 540-375-9523/ Jason.hypes@vsp.virginia.gov The contractor shall provide a contact and phone number for all inquiries during the installation process to the Contract Administrator. The bidder is advised of the following that will affect the removal and installation of units, The facility will remain occupied during the removal and installation. Access to certain areas of the building may be restricted. Work shall be completed during normal business hours. All applicable federal and state safety and environmental regulations and codes shall be applicable and followed during the process. The contractor shall be licensed with DPOR for providing the appropriate types of mechanical needs(Tradesman's) and skill levels of personnel required to accomplish the work. The contractor shall maintain the appropriate Contractors License to conduct business with a State Agency. The contractor shall provide during installation, a supervisor that meets the skill level of understanding installing commercial HVAC equipment and troubleshooting any unforeseen issues that may arise and shall remain onsite during the installation. The Virginia State Police reserves the right to reject any and all equipment and installations that do not meet, in their judgment the requirements of this invitation and accepted practices. Bring a copy of the solicitation with you. Any changes resulting from this conference will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation. No one will be admitted after 1:10 pm at the front desk/receptionist.
