The BEAR VALLEY ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT will involve full depth reconstruction of the road structural section of Bear Valley Road from Highway 395 to Amethyst Road. Existing asphalt and base material will be recycled onsite and used to construct a subbase section of the new structural section. The work will further involve the removal and replacement of existing PCC improvements including curb & gutter, sidewalk, driveway approaches, cross gutters, spandrels, ADA curb ramps, manhole collars & utility pole bypasses. Other work will include construction of asphalt dikes, removal and replacement of traffic signal loops. Included with this project are two smaller projects incorporating similar work, but further includes electrical, irrigation, landscaping and masonry wall construction on the intersection of Bear Valley Road & Monte Vista Road & Tract 16792. The Consultant will be expected to provide daily field reports of construction activities/observations, results of material testing, results of laboratory testing, monthly progress reports, necessary equipment and certified personnel to complete the Scope of Work identified in Section B for each project. The firm shall be able to present certifications for laboratory, lab technicians and field personnel who perform associated ASTM/ACI sampling, testing and observation procedures. The City of Victorville reserves the right to accept or reject any and all quotes and to award a Contract to the bidder who best meets the requirements to perform the work
