This project will include approximately 471 LF of C-900 DR 18 (PC 235) PVC waterline, 5 EA 8" gate valves, 4 EA fire hydrant assemblies, 234 LF of 8" directional bore, 190 LF of 14" Steel Encased railroad bore, and other miscellaneous items of construction. A Bidder's Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check in an amount not less than (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of Ennis, Texas. The project shall be fully complete within 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages of $300.00 per day shall be assessed for any days in which contract time is exceeded. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Ennis reserves the right to reject any and all bids All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding.
