The project is to replace three (3) cooling towers at Black Fox Elementary, Cason Lane Academy and Erma Siegel Elementary. Murfreesboro City Schools and CMTA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and or technicalities where the best interest of City of Murfreesboro may be served. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid. The security is required as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into. A copy of Bid Security must be uploaded with Bid via online Bid Post. Physical copy of Bid Security must be in hand to the City of Murfreesboro's Purchasing Department prior to an award being made. Bid Security should be delivered to 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100% of contract sum, issued by a bonding company licensed in the State of Tennessee and acceptable to Owner, will be required of successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of work under the contract (see Supplement to General Conditions of the Contract). In the event the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to execute a satisfactory contract and bond, they shall be eliminated and shall forfeit their bid bond, and shall be liable for any loss occasioned to the City of Murfreesboro because of such failure. Removal of existing cooling towers and associated condenser water piping, VFD's, motor starters, disconnects, conduit, wiring and controls wiring. 2. Removal of existing pneumatic control valves on condenser water and chilled water piping. 3. Furnishing and installation of new cooling towers, VFD's, piping, supports and controls. 4. Furnishing and installation of new electric control valves on condenser water and chilled water piping. 5. Erection of temporary fences, barricades, and other safety measures, as necessary, to protect school staff, visitors, and the public from the work and materials storage areas. 6. For the work to be completed in the required time frame. See 'Scheduling of Work' below. 7. At the conclusion of work, clean building to preconstruction condition. 8. Repair any existing construction damaged during the course of the work, including landscaping, lawn, sidewalks, and interior finishes shall be restored to preconstruction condition. All work and Pay applications must be completed by 6/30/2024, no exceptions.
