The Scope of Work shall consist of and is generally described as a 337 square foot interior renovation to the Einstein Bagel area of the Perry Library with minor work on the exterior dumpster pad for a walk-in cooler location. The renovation will consist of demolition and new of interior partitions, ceilings, plumbing, electrical work, and mechanical renovations to allow for the new layout and infrastructure for new owner furnished equipment. A Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid is required at the time of bid submission. Both the Standard Performance Bond and Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid will be required of successful low bidder. Licensing: The successful bidder shall be licensed in Virginia as a Class A Contractor and shall hold at the time of bid submission, the Commercial Building Contractors CBC license classification, and if applicable, shall contract with subcontractorsfor any specialty classifications that may be required, but not held, e.g., GFC, HVA, etc. The Contractor's responsibility and DOLI's Prevailing Wage determination for this project. The Anticipated Construction Schedule is approximately late September 2023 through August 20, 2024 Final Completion. The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications and or in part as availability of funding dictates, plus such successive Additive Bid Items as the Owner in its discretion decides to award in the manner set forth in DEB's FORM CO-7A. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
