The City of Mart is accepting proposals to rehabilitate approximately three (3) miles (353,400 square feet) of streets. The contractor must furnish all materials, machinery, equipment, fuel, superintendence, insurance, and bonds; and for performing all work required for the maintenance and repair of parking lots, driveways, driveway aprons, flumes, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. Utilization of City equipment may be available. Contact City Hall for clarification. Proposals must be in the form of price per square foot. There are two repair methods that will be accepted. The primary rehabilitation method will be to mill existing roads, stabilize to minimum 6" depth, roll and compact, and overlay with 2" ASPPM Grade 4 cold mix. The second method of rehabilitation is to mill in place and lay back approximately 6" depth, grade subgrade and maintain positive drainage, roll and compact, treat 4" with Iron Soil Stabilization Product, roll and compact. Contractors are encouraged to assess each street within this project prior to bidding.
