The following items generally and briefly describe the scope of work included under this contract. The detailed sections of these specifications and the drawings should be relied upon for particular requirements. Part A- CDBG Eligible Work Shall Include: 1. Remove pumps, guiderails, floats, and all appurtenances in existing wet well 2. Abandon in place the existing pump station 3. Install a new factory built above ground pump station as shown on the plans and specifications, complete in place 4. Remove manhole riser sections of upstream screening manhole and replace with new as shown on the plans and specifications 5. Remove existing screen and replace with new 6. Bypass pumping as required Part B- CDBG Non-Eligible Work Shall Include: 1. Install new manual bar screen vault as shown on the plans and specifications, complete in place 2. Piping modifications 3. Install new plug valve and hinged locking cover to existing manhole 4. Bypass pumping as required The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following: Plateau Utility District, 407 Eliza Street , Wartburg, TN 37887 The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must be licensed General Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
