As part of ongoing capital renewal work, Alberta Forestry and Parks (AFP) is undertaking a project to refurbish the seawall at Carson Pegasus Provincial Park, located approx. 30km north of Whitecourt (NW 19-61-11-W5). The work to be accomplished under this project includes: 1 Demolition and disposal of existing seawall and boat house 2 Replace seawall with a new sheet pile style retaining wall; seawall to be constructed of durable material and to include features supporting positive visitor experiences such as seating benches, accessible path, and trail connectivity. 3 Reclaim and revegetate the land where the old boat house was located and blend into existing landscape. TIMELINE: Request for proposals from engineering consultants has been cancelled by the owner. Project may be republished in the future, pending owner's decision to proceed. Coverage of this report is discontinued at this time. *Budget is unreleased.
