The Board of the South Farmingdale Water District reserves the right to award this contract based on either the total bld or any combination of bid items, as may be in the best interest of the South Farmingdale Water District. The award shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder based upon the bid items awarded. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Board reserves the right to award this contract within forty-five (45) days of the bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by either a certified check drawn on a solvent bank with an office in the State of New York, or a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, and payable to the SOUTH FARMINGDALE WATER DISTRICT. This amount shall be the measure of liquidated damage sustained by the DISTRICT as a result of the failure, negligence or refusal of the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded to execute and deliver the Contract. The BID FORMS contained herein must be used in preparing bids. Failure to use said BID FORM the inclusion of bids not requested may result in rejection of the bid. do proposal shall be received by the DISTRICT unless the bidder tendering same is known to be s in work of a similar nature to that envisaged in the proposal. Except where Owner exercises the right to reject any or all bids, Owner will award the Contract to t owest responsible bidder on the basis of the TOTAL BASE BID as stated in the Proposal, who fur adequate security therefore and complied with all the requirements of the NOTICE TO BIDDERS these INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS, after investigations are made to determine the bidder's responsibility and capability, and based upon the acceptability by the Owner of the List of Subcont roposed for the work by the bidder. Each bidder shall fill out in ink (in both words and figures) in the spaces provided, Its bid. If there is discrepancy between the prices in words and figures, the prices in words shall govern. If there is a discrepancy between the unit price and extended total price, the unit price shall govern.
