Request for Prequalification of the Oakville Water Treatment Plant - Phase 3 Upgrades. Category 1: General Contractor. Category 2: Electrical Subcontractor. Proposed site works include: - Refurbishment of selected building roofs and installation of photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays; - Installation of a Pre-purchased Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with connection to the WTP electrical infrastructure; - Addition of a fourth High Lift Pump with the new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD); - Replacement of the main substation; - Replacement of the low voltage transformer; - Structural rehabilitation of the key process areas including the works in the Low-Lift Pump Station and the Filter Clearwell; - Modification of mechanical and electrical elements in the Low Lift Pump Station; and, - Construction of a new laboratory within the Administration Building. It is anticipated the subsequent Request for Tenders could be issued as early as Fall 2023. The anticipated start date for the works if Fall / Winter 2023.
