It is the intent of this invitation to bid is to secure a contractor for the installation of replacement traffic equipment due to accident damage at various locations. All incidents shall be quoted independently. Invoiced work and materials shall be segregated by incident number. The Prime Contractor shall be a PennDOT pre-qualified contractor and any sub-contractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified. Questions regarding electronic submissions are welcome via email through Purchasing.Agent@allentownpa.gov. Question Deadline 08/02/2023 at 4:00 PM ET. Each bid shall be accompanied by an original Bid Bond signed by a surety company, with original signatures, authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid total or a Certified Check, an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, or bank check in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid total. Performance and Labor & Materialman's Bonds in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. Maintenance bond to comply with the Guaranty (See Section 1.17) in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the contract amount for a period of twelve (12) months from the final acceptance by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received.
