Johnston County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. The successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part with federal funds in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area Project scope: Replacement of existing BAS Controls systems and Air Handling Units at Clayton Middle School. Sealed proposals from contractors will be received on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in the office of the Johnston County Public Schools Main Office located at 601 A West Market Street, Smithfield, NC 27577, for the completion of the JCPS Equipment and BAS Controls Replacements (Package 7) - Clayton MS. All bids will be opened and read aloud starting at 2:00 p.m. For a complete description of the proposed work and bidding specifications visit Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate. The Johnston County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Work generally includes: Replacement of air handling units and existing controls systems, including but not limited to, network communication bus cabling, thermostats, network controllers, and control integration at Clayton Middle School.
