The work to be done, in general, shall include furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, unless otherwise specified, to construct rock mulch rundowns, bioswales, and floodplain benches along both sides of Sonoma Avenue accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The project involves the clearing and grubbing of existing vegetation, the excavation and grading of bioswales & floodplain benches, the placement of rock rip-rap rundowns, the installation and maintenance of erosion control best-management practices, and the provision of materials for revegetation as awarded by the District. Comply with the provisions of Sections 4, 1 3 , 14, 17, 19, 20, 72, and 96 for general, material, construction, and payment specifics. The work to be done, in general, shall include furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, unless otherwise specified, to construct rock mulch rundowns, bioswales, and floodplain benches along both sides of Sonoma Avenue. All work shall be in accordance with the performance criteria, plans and specifications for the project as awarded by CSLRCD under Exhibit B of the Request for Bids. The project is generally located along Sonoma Avenue within Camp San Luis Obispo. See the Location Map on Sheet 1 of the project plans. Contractors wishing to attend the bid tour must submit a Letter of Intent to CSLRCD no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023. Letters of Intent may be emailed to hbarnes@coastalrcd.org or may also be mailed or hand delivered, but must be received by CSLRCD by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 (not just postmarked). Using a bulldozer and excavator (or equivalent equipment), the Contractor will re-align and expand approximately 300 linear feet of existing blue line blue line stream channel downstream of the culvert passing under the parking lot at the Officer's Club to widen it, lay back its banks, and create adjoining floodplain benches. Additionally, the Contractor shall install a 10' long section of 24" HDPE culvert to safely convey the stream channel under an existing gravity sewer line. Excess excavated material shall be hauled to the soil disposal site to be spread in a layer not to exceed 2'. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that the fill is placed according to the design specifications The scope of work includes all equipment, labor and specified materials Question Deadline 07/28/2023 at 5:00 PM PT The anticipated start date for the project is September 4, 2023. The deadline for completion of all ground disturbing activities is October 13, 2023, although this deadline may be extended at the discretion of CSLRCD. The CSLRCD has the right to reject any and all proposals and add alternates
