Each bid shall be accompanied by an electronic copy to demonstrate proof of a certified or cashier's check or a Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Palm Springs. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The work will be all-inclusive and to include "To be adjusted by others" contractor to complete work described in the approved drawings and specifications. Protect existing utilities, include traffic control, business open signs, walk direction signs around construction area, remove existing sidewalk, ramp, curb, gutter, and asphalt. Construct new ADA ramp, 4" sidewalk, ADA handrails, retaining curb, curb transition, curb & gutter, sawcut & overlay full depth AC pavement, reconstruct crossgutter, paint curbs, install decomposed granite. Contractor will coordinate inspection with Desert Water Agency (DWA) Brandon Hall 760-323-4971 ext. #192 Bhall@dwa.org to inspect prior to pouring concrete pad around F.H. per Std Dwg W-208. Contractor will pour concrete base around existing streetlight. Contractor is responsible to re-set electrical box, water meter box and valve that will need to be adjusted to finish grade. Contractor will contact and coordinate with business owner to ensure business will remain open during regular business hours. Contractor to consider completing work in two construction stages with temporary construction entrance behind garden wall to main entry door. The work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion
