The City of Columbus (hereinafter City) is accepting bids for DPU Archive / Records Storage and SMOC Locker Room Renovations, C.I.P. No. 650505-100000 the work for which consists of This project will create a Department of Public Utility wide archive, records, and file storage area in the former police property room at the Fairwood Facility. This project will also upgrade the SMOC crew locker room to current code standards. This project will clean out the police property room of all hazardous materials and reconfigure the area into a usable space for records and file storage. The HVAC system for the area will be replaced and the office space renovated. Archival storage will be added with at least two levels along with secured cages for sensitive documents and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). Contract Estimated to be in Excess of $2,000,000 MBE/WBE GOAL FOR THIS CONTRACT: 15% All notices for the City of Columbus regarding this bond shall be emailed to: City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities - Fiscal 910 Dublin Road - 3rd Floor Columbus, OH 43215 Attn: Jonathan S. Lee, Deputy Director JSLee@columbus.gov All work shall be substantially complete within 400 (four hundred) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, with final completion to occur within 500 (five hundred) calendar days. The City anticipates issuing a Notice to proceed on or about November 6, 2023. Questions pertaining to this Invitation For Bid must be submitted by Monday, August 7, 2023, at 5:00 PM, Eastern Time, via email to DPUConstructionBids@columbus.gov. The email should reference the project number and the project name. No phone calls will be accepted. The City or its representative will not be bound by any oral interpretations which are not reduced to writing and included in addenda. Any interpretations of questions so raised, which in the opinion of the City or its representative require interpretations, will be issued by addenda The City may cancel the IFB, reject any or all bids in whole or in part, waive technicalities, and/or advertise for new bids, without liability to the City and when in the best interest of the City up until the time the contract is executed by the City. The City shall have 180 calendar days from the date of the bid opening to provide the bidder a Notice of Intent to Award. During this 180 day period, the bidder agrees to hold their bid prices.
