The project will consist of renovating the first floor of the northwest wing of City Hall to be used as a licensed childcare facility. Work includes but is not limited to: hazardous materials abatement, remodeling the two restrooms, three classrooms, two classroom closets, one custodian closet, one storage closet, general electric work as described in the specifications and shown on the plans for the CHILD CARE RENOVATION AT CITY HALL PROJECT. The site at City Hall 800 Cushman Street, Fairbanks, AK 99701. Questions shall be submitted at least seven calendar days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. Bid security (referred to as Bid Bond) is required with each bid in the following amount: Ten Percent of the amount of the bid if the bid does not exceed $100,000; or Ten percent of the first $100,000 and five percent of the amount of the bid over $100,000 if the bid exceeds $100,000 up to a maximum of $200,000 in security. NOTICE TO PROCEED and to fully complete the PROJECT by April 1, 2024 The City reserves the right to waive informalities not inconsistent with the law and to reject any or all bids.
