The project consists of the construction of a relief sanitary trunk line parallel to the existing sewer interceptor across the Great Miami River in the City of Sidney, Ohio. Any and all questions regarding the 23-12R Brooklyn Avenue Sewer Diversion REBID project must be submitted electronically no later than 1 :00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 . Questions submitted outside of Bid Express will not be answered. Engineer's Estimate: BASE (w/PVC) $2,197,300 ALTERNATE 1 (w/Ductile Iron) $2,452,350 ALTERNATE 2 (w/Prestressed Concrete Cylinder $2,241,550 Each Bid must include the required submissions per the Bid specifications and must be accompanied by either a Bid bond in an amount of 10% of the Bid amount or by certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid amount. A 100% Performance Bond will be required after the Contract is awarded to cover the installation period. Bid Bonds shall list the City of Sidney as Obligee and be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the electronic Bid documents, particularly to the Federal Requirements, Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the Contract price. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal has not been established for this project; however, DBEs are encouraged to review the project and consider submitting a bid. Current Federal regulation (23 CFR 635.410) requires all Bidders for Federal or Federal. Aid contracts to submit Bids based upon using only domestic steel and iron products only. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Sidney reserves the right to waive any irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the bidder deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Sidney.
