The City of Ottawa is seeking qualification submissions for the supply, delivery, and installation of leased rooftop Solor Production. The City is seeking qualified submissions to provide turnkey behind the meter rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) at three (3) facilities in which: - The contractor owns the Solar PV equipment. - The City lease the solar PV equipment from the contractor. - The City receives competitive electricity prices from the contractor, which is the contractors' sole source of compensation. - The City pays for the lease by buying the electricity from the contractor at the agreed upon price. - The City makes no upfront capital investment for the solar PV equipment and its installation. - The contractor is responsible for all maintenance and assurance of performance. - The City will be holder to the net-metered of behind the meter account and is the operator in terms of the OEB's definition. - The turnkey solar panel should provide either load displacement or net metered electricity at the Sites. The price of the generated electricity should be at rates competitive to grid procured power. Electricity will be metered through a commercial grade revenue meter provided by the Contractor and approved by the City. - The Contractor shall provide all required parts, labour, equipment and materials required for the successful completion of the work described herein. Installation of the PV System shall be by a recognized, experienced Contractor in accordance with provincial, federal, local, and utility specifications and requirements.
