The project will generally consist of the removal of the existing steel through girder, floor beam and stringer superstructure and replacement with a steel beam superstructure with concrete deck as well as the installation of riprap scour protection, approach guide rail and general restoration activities A Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. A bid submitted without a Bid Bond will be rejected. Bidders must be prequalified in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408, Section 102.01 and/or Township requirements. Bidders are advised that Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are applicable to this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
