Scope of Services Pool Maintenance Services for City Pools 2.1 SERVICES GENERAL- The basic service obligations of the contractor shall include, but not be limited to, the following: o Vacuum pool o Clean pool tiles, pump strainers, and basket strainers o Brush pool plaster o Clean back-wash filters o Test pool water chemistry (i.e. chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, etc.) o Maintain water levels (i.e. fill and/or drain) o Pool start up o Chemical treatment o Clean pool deck and pump room o Pool equipment inspection o Testing/replacement of pool lamps MINIMUM FREQUENCY SCHEDULE DAILY MAINTENANCE SERVICES o Clean (blow-off/wash down) pool decks o Clean surge pit o Net pool o Check chemical balance and add chemicals as necessary o Calibrate controller and/or chemical pump o Check all gauges o Backwash filters as needed 8. Clean weir baskets and/or gutters o Clean pump strainers o Rinse off pool deck equipment (i.e. lifeguard stands, diving boards, and starting blocks) o Perform minor equipment maintenance (i.e. PVC fittings, chemical feed lines, foot valves, self-priming valves, etc.) o Perform minor pool maintenance (tighten handrails and steps, replace/re- secure cracked or missing tiles, re-secure pool light fixtures to wall) o Complete daily log o Secure facility BI-WEEKLY MAINTENANCE SERVICES (twice per week) o Vacuum pools o Brush pools o Clean pool tile 3 | P a g e o Clean stainless steel around pool deck (i.e. hand rails) o Clean pump room (i.e. spider webs, sweep floors, rinse off equipment, etc.) o Perform pool light inspections to ensure the fixtures are secured properly to the wall and the lights are operational. MONTHLY MAINTENANCE SERVICES o Complete chemical analysis and associated report/log o Clean ORP probes o Clean injectors, monthly or as needed o Change heater air filters (winter months only). Filters to be provided by the City. QUARTERLY MAINTENANCE SERVICES o Grease pumps and motors o Change oil in motors ANNUAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES o Perform heater maintenance per manufacturer's specifications. o Rebuild all LMI pumps. o Drain and refill pools as needed to maintain proper pool chemistry. o Perform filter media inspection. Make recommendations to inspect, remove, replace and dispose of sand in filter tanks. The City of Fontana reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive minor irregularities, to accept any qualifications or portion thereof, and to take all proposals under advisement for a period of ninety (90) days.
