Highway 50 near E. 12th Street in Pueblo, Colorado. B. Overview: An Arkansas Valley Conduit (AVC) Delivery Pressure Evaluation report from June 2020 identified 4 pipe segments in the Pueblo Colorado vicinity that would incrementally increase pipeline delivery capacity near 36th Lane and E. US HWY 50 (Connection Point to AVC). This 16" Transmission Main addition is required as a component of the required improvements to meet the 3.2 MGD demand capacity at the Connection Point. C. Goals: Design and Construction 16" a potable water main crossing of E. US Hwy. 50 from the intersection of York St./E. 12th St. to a connection with a 20" main, along the north side of and within the R.O.W. of E. Hwy. 50. SECTION II. - Statement of Work A. Description of the Project: The DB Team will successfully and safely complete the engineering and construction of the 16" transmission main that will cross under an adjacent arroyo and E. US Highway 50. This should be accomplished according to a managed schedule; in accordance with the project's permitting requirements; and with the highest quality design and construction - all while providing the best possible value to Pueblo Water. The chosen DB Team will be responsible for all activities necessary within their project approach to evaluate existing dimensions and conditions of the existing facilities, formulate a design, and construct the approved designed features. At a minimum, the project approach shall address the following: o Evaluation of installation methodology, i.e., open-cut, directional drill, and/or horizontal bore that will ensure best cost, protection, and longevity of the pipeline. o Assist Pueblo Water with securing necessary easements outside Rights of Way. o Design of pipe crossing and appropriate "tie" in points, North and South of crossing. Include Technical Specifications, Erosion Control Plans, etc, needed for a full working set of construction plans and documents. o Design of any necessary pipe protection features.
