Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 35 days after time has been called on the date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond and in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. Both a performance bond and a payment bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, and executed by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, latest edition. The Surety Company shall have an A. M. Best Company minimum rating of "A" with a financial size of VII "7" or better. Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating bonding company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Contractors shall submit to the Owner the completed Statement of Bidders Qualifications Form attached to the Proposal Form at the time of the bid. The successful bidder must be prepared to submit within five (5) days of Owner's request a properly executed AIA Document A-305 with a current audited/reviewed Financial Statement (both to be less than one-year old). Inquiries concerning procedures should be directed to the office of the Architect, 706-736-3333. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities and to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner.
