The Work consists of constructing a new booster pumping station, approximately 4,865 feet of 12-inch water transmission main, approximately 3,900 feet of 16-inch water line, 1,030 feet of 6-inch water line, and a new 400,000 gallon water storage tank. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum prevailing wage rates shall be paid according to the Contract Documents, and Bidders must comply with all requirements of the Instructions to Bidders. Document Notes : Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda obtained from other sources. The Contractor shall ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap status. No Bidder will be subjected to discrimination in consideration for this award. Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 9.24, it is now mandatory that prior to awarding of contracts for goods, services or construction for the City of Steubenville, a search must be made on the FINDING AND RECOVERY DATABASE of the Auditor of the State of Ohio to determine if a prospective successful bidder has a finding against it for non-payment of an obligation to the State or political subdivision thereof. All bidders shall pay particular attention to the rules and regulations of the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POLICY, and to the AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN, throughout the term of the project. Bids may be held by the City of Steubenville for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days for the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding of the Contract. The City of Steubenville reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities.
