The project is at the Woodhill District Bus Garage located at 2500 Woodhill Road, Cleveland, OH 44104. The work involves the replacement of two aged direct gas-fired heating and ventilating units that are located inside the garage and are suspended from the ceiling. This project shall include all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to complete the job in a workmanlike manner consistent with the latest building codes and standards, and industry best practices. A. The Scope of Work shall include but is not limited to: 1. Barricade the shop floor and the adjoining area as necessary to safely perform the work. 2. Confirm that all utilities (gas, electrical, ductwork, gas flue) to the existing unit, and the existing fire protection line, has been disconnected prior to the start of demolition activities. 3. Remove and discard the existing work platforms that exist below both units. 4. Remove and discard the two existing heating and ventilating units. 5. Remove and properly dispose of asbestos containing flue pipe and vibration cloths. 6. Cap the existing gas flue pipe collars. 7. Provide adequate dust control during all demolition activities. 8. Protect existing parking lot and sidewalks from damage during removal of the existing unit from the garage. 9. Completely remove/dispose of demolition debris materials from the site to an approved off-site disposal site for proper disposition. 10. Provide new ductwork adaptors to connect the air outlet from the new unit to the existing ductwork and from the existing roof-top fresh air intake to the new unit. 11. Furnish and install two new direct gas-fired heating and ventilating units. 12. Connect new duct detectors into the fire alarm system. 13. Reconnect all utilities and verify continuity prior to performing start-up testing. 14. Commission units, including adjusting and balancing. 15. Test fire alarm system connections. 16. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary inspections, permits, and license fees required to perform the work The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) transmits herewith this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the project referenced above. The Engineer's Estimate is $128,285.04 and the DBE goal is eighteen percent (18%). (a) Bid Guarantee - equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the bid price if provided by cashier's check or money order; or one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount if provided by bid bond. (b) Performance Bond - in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. (c) Payment Bond - in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price
