To replace both the WSS and PDC Fire Alarm systems with an independent system at each facility. The successful bidder will have the necessary expertise to remove the inoperable fire alarm system and replace and manage the installation of the new system. The bidder awarded must demonstrate expertise with fire alarm installation, federal, state, and local code requirements, effective communication with owner, consultant/owner's representative, women, minority, local inclusion, City of Tacoma Regulators, and contracting requirements through closeout. Prospective Bidders who are intending to submit a bid shall complete the intent to submit in Bonfire by no later than August 23, 2023, 4:00 P.M. This is required to be completed in Bonfire to be considered a responsive bidder. Deadline for questions submitted to the Bonfire Hub is August 17, 2023, 2:00 P.M. PDT. BID SECURITY A All bids must be accompanied by bid deposit in the form of a Surety Bond, Postal Money Order, Cashier’s Check or Certified Check made payable to Tacoma School District #10, in the amount equal to 5% of the amount of the base bid proposed as evidence of good faith. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES A Time is of the essence of the work under the contract. Contractors shall note that the work must be completed within the time limit stated in the Contract Documents. Failure to timely complete this contract will result in liquidated damages pursuant to the Contract Documents. The Tacoma School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. The right is reserved by the Tacoma School District to postpone contract award for the period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The Tacoma School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
