The City of Bakersfield is requesting bids from experienced and reputable contractors for providing an Annual Contract for Concrete Construction. The work includes the construction of concrete curb, gutter, slabs, sidewalks, pool decks, ramps and catch basins in public rights-of-way. There will be no minimum guarantee of work per job location/project. Bids submitted by facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted. Please review it carefully. This is the contract the successful Bidder is expected to execute without alteration. If any changes are desired, they must be submitted to the City for approval prior to bid opening. If approved, the changes will be made public for all prospective bidders. Bidder shall not be allowed to alter or negotiate contract language after the acceptance of Bidder's proposal. Failure to execute the contract without alteration may result in rejection of the Bidder's proposal and the retaining of a different Bidder by the City. The right is reserved by the City of Bakersfield to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities not affected by law in any bids received, to evaluate in its absolute discretion, the bids submitted and to award the contract according to the proposal which best serves the interests of the City.
