All questions, interpretations, or clarifications, either administrative or technical, must be requested in writing and directed to the Contract Administrator for the RFP process, Cari Dillman, Community Services Manager. The City must receive written requests for clarification no later than Wednesday, August 3, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.. Such requests, if any, must be sent to the Contract Administrator by emailing cdillman@ci.claremont.ca.us. GENERAL SCOPE - Bids shall include the costs for all labor, materials, tools and equipment, including temporary traffic control, necessary to remove and replace damaged public concrete sidewalk. Removal and replacement of damaged public and private concrete flat work and other types of masonry items. The work covered by this agreement would be grinding, 6" drive approaches, 4" P.C.C. sidewalk, 4" P.C.C. with some type of special finish or veneer, split face rock and cap curb, curb and gutter, regular curb, and removal and replacement of asphalt. The work is generally described as minor concrete repair and is located at various locations throughout the City. The City is home to over 24,000 trees that are planted in parkways throughout the City; trees that have established root systems often causing sidewalks to lift and crack. The majority of repairs for this project will be removal and repair of sidewalk panels and drive approaches. For greater efficiency, various locations throughout the City will be packaged together to provide CONTRACTOR with a minimum of $10,000 worth of work per mobilization. The City has a list of locations for the CONTRACTOR to complete upon commencement of the contract, including over 1,300 square feet of sidewalk and over 500 square feet of drive approaches.
