The major items of work include: Rerouting Existing Inlet with Brick and mortar, Construction of storm sewer manhole, and approximately 155 LF of 18" C900, and 30 LF of 18" SCH 40 PCV. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a reliable surety company drawn to the order of Montgomery County Utility District 4 in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance, payment, and maintenance bond for the full amount of the contract. The deadline to ask questions is 8/06/2023 11:59 PM CST. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to it. Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence of this Agreement and that Owner will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed within the times specified in plus any extensions thereof allowed in accordance with Article 11 of the General Conditions. The parties also recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving in a legal or arbitration proceeding the actual loss suffered by Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner $200.00 for each day that expires after the time specified in Paragraph The Work will be substantially completed by the Contractor within forty five (45) calendar days
