The work in this contract includes but is not limited to: - Repair and seal the hairline crack in the floor slab - Carry out a laser-level survey to precisely outline the extent and depth of depressions in the floor, where water pooling occurs, to locate the extent and depths of the floor defects. - Determine the precise extents and thicknesses of floor surfacing build-up required. - Prepare and build-up the depressions/defective areas first. - Blast-clean the floor surface to remove existing coatings, grease, dirt, and other deleterious substances that could negatively impact adherence of the topping. - Layout the build-up areas, and build-up in layers, filling the depressions and sloping to floor drains, using the surfacing in accordance with the product manufacturers instructions. - Check that the floor grades have been corrected. - Prepare the remaining floor areas for surfacing application by blast-cleaning. - Apply one layer of the surfacing at a uniform thickness over the entire chiller room floor, where it is accessible (the floor areas under the raised mechanical equipment is not easily accessible for coating application). Repeat with a second application, if required by the surfacing manufacturer to achieve 100% waterproofing.
