Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 07/20/2023 5:00 PM (PDT) Recognizing the need for a comprehensive approach to maintenance, the City in 2016 produced the "Doheny Greystone Mansion Master Plan for Maintenance and Restoration," which provides a comprehensive list of tasks, identifying priority items for repairs and restorations so the City and Friends of Greystone are better equipped to continue to restore and maintain this historic property. The City has architectural design in work for multiple projects as well as requirements for maintenance and repairs. Projects include building restoration, waterproofing, hardscape, custom woodworking and cabinetry, masonry, plumbing and electrical. The City is seeking to prequalify general contractors as well as trade specific contractors with experience in preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of historic properties. Specified contractor's licensing is B or specific trade license(s) under the California Contractors State License Board. It is preferred that the contractor have training in the conservation of cultural materials under the guidelines of the American Institute of Conservation Code of Ethics and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the treatment of Historic Properties.
