The work generally consists of the renovation and expansion of the existing 233,000-gallon pool facilities located at 7617 Elkhorn Mountain Trail, Austin, TX (construction site). Pool facility renovations will include expansion of approximately 350 sq. ft. of concrete pool decking, resurfacing of the entire pool surface, removal and replacement of all pool security fencing and installation of additional pool lighting and security lights. The work will also include complete renovation and expansion of the existing pool equipment and storage building with an additional 295 sq. ft. as well as replacement of redesigned pool operating equipment including filters, pumps/motors, chemical feed and storage facilities and all associated electrical, piping, valves, fittings and ancillary equipment. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with Power of Attorney attached or cashier s check of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid (sum of all bid items) made payable to North Austin MUD No. 1. A Bid which, in the opinion of Owner s staff, deviates from the Contract Documents, and which has not been clarified through a written Addendum prior to Bid submittal deadline, shall be considered an exception to the Contract Documents and grounds for the Bid to be rejected. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities in Bids received. Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages are $400 per calendar day.
