Bidders assume responsibility that their Bid is received prior to the designated bid opening time and date. The Work included in this Contract generally consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for erosion and sedimentation controls, the stabilization of stream banks along Lodal Creek in various locations, removal of gravel bars, and the extension of concrete sanitary sewer pipe encasement. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of the Perkiomen Township Municipal Authority, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended Bid Amount, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. The Work shall be substantially completed within Sixty (60) calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The entire length of the Contract shall be Ninety (90) days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Proposals shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of Bid opening. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this projects and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. The OWNER, Perkiomen Township Municipal Authority, hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Authority, consistent with the laws affecting municipal contract awards.
