The work of this Federally funded project will generally consist of: abatement of lead and asbestos containing materials by a qualified abatement contractor; removal and replacement of concrete barriers and tubular hand railing; removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks and bridge deck; removal and replacement of street lighting; cleaning and painting the steel I-girders and other steel members; replacement of bearings; temporary installation of small cofferdam around 1 column of eastern bridge bent; removal and replacement of unsound concrete; removal and replacement of water mainline pipe; utility relocation; minor AC paving work; minor signing and striping work; and appurtenant work as required. Q&A Deadline 10/12/2023 5:15 PM (PDT) License Requirements State Contractor's License Class A The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity and to take all bids under advisement for a maximum period of 60 days. The bid received for the subject project was significantly higher than the construction budget for the project. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach will decide whether to reject and re-advertise the project next week. If the project is re-advertised, the bidding period will be extended through 10/19/23 to provide bidders additional time to review the contract documents and submit a bid.
