This project is to provide and install succinct public facing vehicular signage at the Olmsted County Government Center campus. Question Deadline 07/26/2023 at 10:00 AM CT Protests shall be sent electronically to the Purchasing Manager. This project is to provide and install succinct public facing vehicular signage at the Olmsted County Government Center campus at 2100 - 2122 Campus Drive located in Rochester, Minnesota. The scope of work in this document includes the Sign Company removing signage that has been determined to be unnecessary as identified in the document titled Olmsted County Exterior Signage Bid Document, hereafter referred to as the Technical Specifications. Once complete the property shall remain free of internal posting without approval of the project manager. Revised 12/28/2021 Page 3 of 5 4.2 The Technical Specifications addresses the sign fabrication and installation elements, the existing signage to be removed, and the electrical and structural work to be provided by Olmsted County's Facilities and General Contractor (including the repair of surfaces caused by signage removal). 4.3 The sign company will fabricate and install all components of the sign system as indicated in the Technical Specifications, including sign cabinet and structure, foundation and base, removal of existing signage, and final electrical connections (see location plans, detailed drawings, and accurate messages within). The sign company shall also remove and dispose of all components of the existing sign systems as indicated in the attached document. Repair of walls is also noted in the attachment. 4.4 A highlighted list of repair work, in agreement with the sign Technical Specifications, will be coordinated between the fabricator, general contractors, and the county project manager. 4.5 The Technical Specifications only serves the needs of wayfinding and identity for those visiting the Olmsted County facilities. 4.6 Specific sign messages, quantities, and locations are found on the Sign Location Plans; refer to the index on page 1.0 for specific location plans. Refer to the sign Message Schedules in the attached document for sign content and exact message. 4.7 All demolition waste from a County project shall be disposed of at the Olmsted County Kalmar Landfill, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) permitted demolition landfill. Demolition waste includes, but is not limited to the following: concrete (including rerod); bituminous material (asphalt pavement and blacktop); masonry (bricks, stucco, plaster); conduit and piping; cabinetry; countertops; plastic piping and building parts; molded fiberglass; electric wiring; ceiling tile; windows and doors; siding (aluminum, vinyl, Masonite, steel, and wood); insulation (fiberglass, mineral wool, cellulose, polystyrene, and newspaper); plumbing fixtures; shingles and roofing material; untreated lumber and wood (painted, stained and varnished lumber), pallets, particle board, plywood, fencing, and dock materials; wood and vinyl flooring; wall board and sheet rock; wall coverings; window and door glass (non-laminated); ceramic fixtures, and affixed carpet and padding. 4.8 The Contractor shall be responsible for transportation of the demolition waste to the Kalmar Landfill. The Landfill is located at 7401 19 th Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901. The demolition waste shall be delivered between 8:30AM - 3:30PM, Monday-Friday. The Contractor shall notify the Owner with expected daily loads. The Owner shall be responsible for all gate fees at the Landfill.
