Bid Title was changed from 'ADA Vestibule Upgrades Snow & Wheaton Halls ManchesterCommunity College' to 'ADA Vestibule Upgrades Snow & Wheaton Halls Middlesex Community College' The work of this contract includes, but is not limited to the following: The Construction Work is a single Lump Sum Base Bid. This project addresses ADA compliance issues at the main entry vestibules of Snow and Wheaton Halls on the Middlesex Community College Campus at 100 Training Hill Road in Middletown, Connecticut. The Construction Work includes the addition of a new exterior canopy at each entry and interior renovations to each hall's entry vestibule and security lobby. Exterior improvements at Snow and Wheaton Hall include the construction of a new cantilevered entry canopy over the existing main entrance to each building, Installation of new exterior signage, emergency lighting for egress and infrastructure for a future card access system. Minor repair of the existing concrete thresholds and bituminous walkways leading to the entries is included as well. Interior improvements at Snow and Wheaton Halls include selective demolition of the existing exterior and interior entry doors, floor finishes within the vestibule, and the existing suspended acoustical ceiling pads and lights within the vestibules and security lobbies. Construction includes installation of new interior and exterior entry doors, floor finishes and wall paint, and installation of new suspended acoustical ceiling pads and LED lighting. Performance and Payments Bonds shall be furnished by the successful bidder awarded the contract in an amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. This project is therefore subject to the state set-aside goals of 25% SBE and 6.25% MBE on the entire state contract amount complete the entire project within 120 consecutive calendar days after commencement of work.
