Counties: Gadsden, Leon Road Name: Districtwide Bdi Projects - Ada Sidewalk Repairs Limits: Midpoint Project(s): 42378147206(*) Federal Aid No: N/A Total Roadway Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Days: 6/30/24 Total Bridge Length: 0.000 Miles Total Proposal Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Execution Days: 10 Special Start Date: N/A Aquis/Flexible Start Time: 15 Description: The work specified in this Work Document-driven Contract consists of correcting vertical misalignments or grade changes in pedestrian sidewalks along the primary roads of Gadsden and Leon Counties. Pedestrian accessible concrete sidewalks, landings, and curb ramps with vertical misalignments between inch, and 2 inches, will be corrected by grinding. Acceptance of the completed work will be dependent on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Vertical alignments of sidewalks exceeding these tolerances or not correctable by these methods, will be reconstructed by others under a separate Contract. Work locations will be identified and authorized on individual Work Documents, issued by the Department. Maintenance of Traffic and Mobilization will be incidental to the pay item shown in the Bid Proposal. The budget estimate amount for this contract is $200,000.00. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Departments estimated quantities and the Contractors bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work. Prequalification per Rule 14-22 is not required. All Sublet work must be contracted to a small business or businesses as defined by the Department. The subcontractor must also submit a notarized Small Business Affidavit Form provided by the Department prior to the start of work. Proposal Guaranty of $500 is required for bids over $150,000 and may be in the form of a Cashiers Check, the BDI Bid or Proposal Bond Form No. 375-020-16 or the standard Bid or Proposal Bond form, Form No. 375-020-09. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, special Provisions of the State of Florida Department of Transportation.
