The County Commissioners of Caroline County are accepting written quotes for the regrading of a County Road ditch and the construction of a culvert along Nelpine Road in the community of Jonestown in Caroline County, Maryland. The work is adjacent to the Jonestown Community Park and extends from Route 16/Harmony Road to the Jonestown Community Park parking lot entrance driveway. The parking lot driveway should not be disturbed. Work includes: Regrade the ditch to provide a consistent slope and positive drainage to the existing ditch in Harmony Road. Maximize the depth of the ditch in Nelpine Road based on the elevation of the ditch at Harmony Road Installing twenty (20) feet of 12-inch ADS culvert pipe adjacent to the pavilion. Stabilize both ends of the culvert pipe with the installation of stone. Backfill over the culvert pipe and create a level ground surface for pedestrian access to the pavilion. Seed and stabilize all disturbed areas. Assumptions: All work shall be performed in the County Road ROW and shall not disturb the SHA ROW. Do not disturb the pavement on Nelpine Road. There will be an onsite pre-construction meeting with Caroline County DPW and Planning and Codes Departments prior to commencing work. Any permits are the responsibility of the contractor.
