Tank Information: The structure is a 700,000-gallon standpipe with a 38 ft. diameter and a 83.75 ft. sidewall height located at 555 Summit St. in Wadsworth, Ohio. The work includes: Exterior: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool clean to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane fluoropolymer system. Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a two (2) coat zinc plural component epoxy system, apply a polyurethane caulk to the roof lap seams and apply pit filler as needed. The cathodic protection system is to be removed and reinstalled by the owners vendor, coordination and payment is the contractors responsibility. The mechanical mixer shall be removed and reinstalled after the topcoat is cured. The work covered by the plans and specifications includes furnishing all labor, equipment and the noted material for the interior and exterior painting of a 700,000 gallon standpipe and other repairs as identified in the plans and specifications. This improvement must attain Substantial Completion by November 15, 2023. The lowest and best bidder for this contract shall be the bidder whose bid is determined by the City to be the lowest and best bid for the option and any alternatives selected by the City. The City shall have the sole right to select the option and any alternative or combination of alternatives that best suits the needs of the City. Bid tabs will be posted to the City's website following the bid opening, no inquiries are to be directed to the City. A certified check, cashier's check or better of credit pursuant to Chapter1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit shall equal 10% of the full amount of the bid and the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a bond in the form provided in section 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in conjunction with the execution of the contract. Said bond shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
