The objective of this Request for Proposal is for the University of Maryland, College Park to select Contractors to replace/upgrade the fire alarm systems in Skinner Building & Woods Halls, Symons Hall and LeFrak Hall. Bidders may submit pricing on one or two or all three buildings Bidders do not have to bid on all three (3) buildings to be able to receive an award. Question Deadline 07/24/2023 at 3:00 PM ET Questions and bids must be submitted via information in RFP. Questions and/or bids submitted via eMMA will not be considered. The University reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept any proposal, when it is in the best interest of the State of Maryland. For the same reason, the University reserves the right to waive any technicality or minor irregularity in a proposal. The total for this bond will be the 5% of the overall total of the building(s) you submit pricing on. The proposer to whom a contract in excess of $100,000 is awarded also must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, including executed Change Orders, on the form provided. In the event the contractor fails to complete the work within One Hundred Eighty (180) calendar days, the contractor shall pay to the University the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day late, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages.
