Upgrade existing 1.0 MGD Kinchafoonee Creek WWTP, including repairs to Package Plant treatment tanks; replacement of filter units; refurbishing UV system; furnish and install new digester blower; construct truck disposal ramp; miscellaneous electrical upgrades, and all appurtenances necessary to complete the job. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Lee County Utilities Authority prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to the Lee County Utilities Authority, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Lee County Utilities Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals. All work on the Project must be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the Owner with a performance bond and a payment bond in the form required by law, each in an amount equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, based on the Lump Sum Bid and/or the anticipated quantities and unit prices.
