Reference Number 0000324515 The Macomb County Purchasing Department will be receiving sealed bids for the Macomb County Juvenile Court ACM Removal. The project consists of work at: Macomb County Juvenile Court Building 380 North Rose Street, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48043 Question Acceptance Deadline 07/28/2023 12:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Questions regarding bid specifications may be directed in writing only, by email. All questions or clarifications must be directed to the Purchasing Department. Any attempt to contact a county department, other than purchasing, regarding current bids may be grounds for disqualification as a vendor. Answers will be posted to MITN after the question due dates. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required - License Required Universal Waste/ Other Regulated Materials (ORMs) identified at the subject property included the following. The attached Table 3 provides the approximate quantities and locations of the ORMs. o Batteries (emergency lights, emergency backup) o Light Fixtures (bulbs and ballasts) o Cathode Ray Tubes (Computer Monitors) o Fire Extinguishers (ABC, CO2, Clean Agent) o Miscellaneous Materials (cleaning chemicals) o Oil Filled Machinery (Compressor) o Radioactive Devices (Smoke Detectors) o Chlorofluorocarbons Containing Equipment (Water Fountains, Aftercooler) o Lead Based Products (Electronic Items with Circuit Boards/ CPU Units) To prepare for building demolition, the contractor will remove all potentially hazardous materials from the interior of the structure. Those materials will be segregated and placed in appropriate containers for disposal/recycling. Materials located on the exterior of the structure (rooftop HVAC chlorofluorocarbons are not part of the scope of work). Existing containers of waste or unknown materials shall be removed from buildings and staged in a central location for repackaging and disposal by the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide consolidation, all packaging, transportation and disposal of these wastes. The Contractor is to provide controls and measures for the prevention of water and air pollution and the protection of natural resources during the execution of work included in this Contract. Environmental protection shall include but not be limited to measures for spill control and contingency. The Contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for performing the specified work in accordance with these specifications, all applicable laws and regulations.
