The rehabilitation of the entire LRIP Lift Station and the replacement of 3 air release valves along the existing 8" force main. The rehabilitation includes the demolition of existing pumps, controls, and piping. Coating the existing wet well with epoxy resin, replacing top of wet well slab and hatch, installing new pumps, controls, site fencing, permanent stand-by generator, automatic transfer switch, and above grade piping. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a South Carolina State Contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with South Carolina Contractor's Law, South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Section 40-11-10 through 40-11-428. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid and combination of alternates as selected by the Owner. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 180 calendar days. Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions. Construction Cost Range: $600,000-$700,000 Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4. This project is funded by a loan from the State Revolving Fund. All required federal, state, and local permits as well as required easements or rights of way for the project have been obtained. Bidders must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements including the President's Executive Order No. ll246, as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin; Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964; the Davis-Bacon Act; American Iron and Steel; the Anti-Kickback Act; and the Contract Work Hours Standards Act.
