Project Identification: 23025 Greenwood Leflore Consolidated Schools MDE Reroofing Project Locations: Site A: Amanda Elzy High: 604 Elzy Ave, Greenwood, MS38930 Site B: Bankston Elementary: 1312 Grand Blvd, Greenwood, MS 38930 Site C: Greenwood Middle: 1200 Garrard Ave, Greenwood, MS 38930 Owner: Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District 1901 Hwy 82 West Greenwood, MS 38930 Owner's Representative: Charles Brooks, Interim Superintendent Architect: Dale | Bailey Architects, An Association One Jackson Place, Suite 250 188 East Capitol Street Jackson, MS 39201 This package contains 3 school sites for bids that will be awarded to a single Contractor. All work pertains to roofing and anything related to the demolition of existing roofing and installation of new roofing including but not limited to replacement of damaged substrates, disconnection and reconnection of electrical, new flashings, etc. The Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Bid proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: "Greenwood Leflore Consolidated Schools MDE Reroofing; Project number 23025 to be opened July 27, 2023". The envelope shall be addressed to Charles Brooks. Interim Superintendent, Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District, 1901 Hwy 82 West, Greenwood, MS 38930. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidder's Company name, Company address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the bidder as the Owner and Architect assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope by any employee of the Owner or Architect. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: In addition, Electronic bids may be submitted through the website www.dalebaileyplans.com. Electronic bids are not required by the GLCSD but offered as another means to submit a bid. Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Date: July 27, 2023 Bid Time: 2:00 p.m., local time Location: Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District, 1901 Hwy 82 West, Greenwood, MS 38930 Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety (90) days. A Pre-Bid meeting for all bidders will be held at Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District on July 11, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., local time. Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend.
