Gwinnett County DWR is partnering with Gwinnett County Community Services (Parks) to restore an unnamed tributary to the Chattahoochee River in Jones Bridge Park. Generally, the stream work will involve approximately 440 L.F. of channel excavation/construction with instream structures including, but not limited to cross vanes, riffles, log grade controls, and other instream features, construction of a cast-in-place headwall, stilling basin, and cascade, and backfilling approximately similar length of old channel and grading to form a swale with stone check dams. The project also includes a bioretention area with underdrain, stream pedestrian access, and rustic gathering areas.
