SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking to upgrade the equipment in the Cardiology Department on the 6th floor, West wing of the main hospital. This project consists of a Level 2 renovation to accommodate replacement of equipment in the Cath Lab and Endovascular procedure rooms, as well as adding new doors to access the attached equipment rooms from the corridor. UUH would also like new finishes provided in these rooms, including ceilings, flooring, paint, and control room countertops. The Cardiac department would also like the lighting replaced with new LED fixtures. Modifications to the Mechanical systems is included in this project to cool the procedure rooms and remove abandoned piping outside of the procedure rooms. A crane will be required to install rooftop equipment and that will need to occur off shift on a Saturday. All work on this Contract is to be completed within/by (insert the completion date OR insert "within 170 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed" No pre-bid conference and project walk-through will be held. No individual walk-throughs will be provided. Bids must be submitted in triplicate (3), which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 22% MBE and 8% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
