Bidders are required to show identification at the Guard Booth when entering the site and must sign in at the Security Officers desk once inside. Please allow sufficient time to comply with these requirements. No exceptions. Bidder bears the risk of late delivery. Any bids received after the stated time will be returned unopened. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans. Project involves, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of existing roof. Mechanical units and exhaust fans and skylights will be removed, stored and reinstalled. Two roof access ladders will be installed. Exterior masonry work as depicted on the drawings. Additional documents including plans are available from the owner. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS The work to be accomplished in accord with this contract includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of existing membrane roof, insulation, flashings and downspouts. Mechanical units and exhaust fans will be removed, stored and reinstalled after new curbs are installed and ductwork extended. The existing skylights will be removed and reinstalled after new curbs are installed. Two roof access ladders will be installed. The exterior masonry joints will be raked as needed, expansion joints will be replaced, and new ones installed as needed. The exterior will be power washed and painted.
